Any outdoor show that celebrates a
Silver Anniversary has got staying power.

The Garden State Outdoor Sportsmen’s Show, rolling into Edison Thursday through Sunday, January 8 to 11, celebrated that feat last year.

This week, it kicks off the next 25 years.

The show’s sheer variety of outdoor
sports exhibits--everything from stream fishing to offshore fishing, small game hunting to big game hunting, and outdoor adventure like rafting and ATV riding--accounts for both its longevity and
its name: the Sportsmen’s Show.

Anglers will take advantage of deals
on tackle, gear or items like fishing art; talk with charters and guides to
compare and book vacations;
learn about fishing from experts at seminars; see fishing vessels to
"kick the tires" or grab a special
price; and more.

Hunters will check out and buy gear; compare lodges to book a hunting trip; talk with experts to learn the secrets to hunting success; hop on an all-terrain vehicle for a first-hand look; and more.

Attractions include the trout pond, fly-casting pool, fly-casting demos, kids' fly-casting competition, the N.J. Bass Federation’s Reel Kids Casting Competition, dog-training demos, a deer-dressing demo, Wild World of Animals, Hank Peters Lumberjack Show, Live Birds of Prey, the N.J. Division of Fish and Wildlife’s trophy deer display and judging, video archery range and paintball gallery.

Topics for daily seminars, free with admission, include: N.J. surf fishing; Delaware River shad fishing; Raritan Bay winter flounder, fluke, striped bass and weakfish angling; fishing for blackfish and sea bass; fishing for tuna, sharks and blues; several bow-hunting subjects; and more.

Expert anglers and hunters will be on hand
for advice.

Be sure to take advantage of the discount coupon for admission.

Catch the free gift for the first 500 patrons each day.

See you at the show!
