Feds to Hit N.J. with a Shark Moratorium on July 30

Please see the Federal Register Notice (pdf) regarding the upcoming moratorium on shark fishing in New Jersey state waters effective July 30, 2010.
This moratorium is in response to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's determination that the State of New Jersey is out of compliance with the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Coastal Sharks (Plan).
The moratorium will not be withdrawn by NMFS until New Jersey is found to have come back into compliance with the Plan.
