The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has announced that Tilcon Lake, in Allamuchy Mountain State Park, has received its first stocking of landlocked salmon.

Nearly 200 large salmon, ranging from 15 to 20 inches in length, averaging 18 inches long, were stocked in the Morris County lake. 

The salmon, averaging 2¼ pounds, with some nearly 3½ pounds, had been growing at the Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery since their arrival in May.
