From an email from the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife:

Fall trout stocking begins on Tuesday, Oct. 9, and concludes Wednesday, Oct. 17.

More than 21,000 trout will be stocked in 16 streams and 21 ponds across the state. 

There are no closed dates during the fall season, but a trout stamp is required in addition to your fishing license.
