From the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife:

Every spring, the NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife collects mature fish from area lakes to serve as broodstock at the Hackettstown Hatchery. This year was no exception, and such waters as Budd Lake, Swartswood Lake, Greenwood Lake, Echo Lake and Spruce Run Reservoir yielded walleye, northern pike and muskellunge of trophy proportions (fish are returned to their waters following spawning at the hatchery). Fish resulting from spawning operations at the hatchery will be stocked in more than 20 waters statewide.

For details on numbers, sizes and weights, as well as photos, of these impressive fish, as well as where their offspring will be stocked, go to http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/arthackbrd08.htm on the division's website.
