The 253-pound
mako was landed
on a trip in May with
Jimmy Crudele, above,
and his dad,
after an hour on
light tackle. Lots of
of whales and porpoises
swam from 30 fathoms
to 200, along the
continental edge.
No bluefin tuna
were hooked when
they trolled.
But they would
try again, as soon
as weather allowed,
a report said.
