Anglers seemed to buy Lamiglas’s
Super Surf Rods, introduced last year, like hot cakes.

Apparently the company merely wouldn't settled for that, but instead took the rods even further.

Lamiglas introduced a line of Super Surf Rods with interchangeable handles for this year.

The rods are basically two different spinning poles with three detachable
handles apiece.

By attaching different handles, one of the rods can be made to be
10 feet, 10 feet 5 inches, or 10 feet 8 inches. The other can be made to be 11 feet, 11 feet 5 inches, or 11 feet 8 inches.

One rod is purchased, and different handles can be purchased separately for different lengths.

Maybe a shorter rod is originally bought for plug fishing, and later a different handle is bought to create a longer pole for bait fishing,
for example.

The original Super Surf Rods were reportedly the first rods for surf angling that were made for braided lines, meant to stand up to the strength of braid but with sensitive action.

Detachable Handle Super Surf Rods are also made for braid.

Both the original Super Surfs and the Detachable Handle rods are constructed from a blend of intermediate and high-modulus graphite to be tough but lightweight.

Both come with Fuji Alconite Concept Guides and over-and-under guide wrapping for strength and durability.

The interchangeable rods feature something additional.

The two halves are joined together just in front of the handle, and that is supposed to make the rod feel like a one-piece, unlike the typical two-piece that’s joined in the middle of the rod.

That provides the portability of a two piece, for uses like traveling, with the feel of a one-piece, the company says.

All the Detachable Handle Rods are medium-fast action.
