Shimano Voltaeus Rods

Anglers want a
tough rod that stands up to the sport.

Yet they want a sensitive rod to
feel the action.

So they’ve had
to compromise:
Fish with one
or the other.

Not anymore, Shimano says.

Shimano’s Voltaeus Rods, introduced this spring, are built to be durable yet sensitive.

The company’s Uni-Fiber Construction is key, Shimano says.

The construction creates a composite of three materials, with T-glass,
for durability, and carbon, for sensitivity and light weight, being the most responsible for the action of the rods.

Twenty-nine different models are offered for spinning and casting reels, mostly for freshwater, but some for saltwater.

Most are one-piece, and some are two-piece.

The rods range from
4-1/2-foot ultralights
to 7-foot heavy-action.

Check out the specs.

The freshwater rods
come in 13 models for spinning and 8 for casting, and the saltwater poles
come in 4 for spinning
and 4 for casting.

Voltaeus Rods feature stainless-steel guide frames and custom-designed reel seats.

What’s more, $39.99 to $59.99 are the suggested retail prices, so they're economical. Plus they come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Anglers can enter The Shimano Voltaeus Ultimate Hook-Up Contest by registering with a photo of a catch made with a Voltaeus Rod.

Prizes include a 2010 Toyota Tundra Double Cab truck, a Skeeter boat with motor and trailer, and more.

The first 2,500 people to enter get a free pack of Trigger-X Lures.
