Women who stay at home to take care of the fort while the men tackle
the great outdoors is the stereotype.

The big guy’s got his fishing rod in hand, slinging out casts to come back with the quarry.

Well, move over, buster.

The woman’s got her own rod now.

St. Croix has introduced the Avid Pearl line of fishing rods built for women.

Made to be the most advanced series of fishing poles for females, the Avid Pearls feature grips designed for a smaller hand, an attractive “fuscia metal” finish and a decorative “pearlescent abalone” reel seat.

Built to be lightweight and sensitive but strong and durable, 10 different models are available for angling for bass, walleyes and panfish.

Available in spinning and casting models, the rods come in six lengths from 6 feet to 7 feet for 4- to 17-pound line weight.

Avid Pearls are made from St. Croix’s
High-Modulus SC Graphite Blanks,
thin-profile ferrules, Alps zirconium
guides, Fuji reel seats and cork handles.

Prices range from $160 to $190.
