Octopi Jig

Jigs come in many
different shapes
and sizes.

S&S Bucktails makes
a variety of them that
are grabbing attention.

The Octopi Jig,
shown in the photo,
is the latest.

The Octopi, the
company says, is
one of the only with
a glowing head.

It’ll catch any fish, S&S says.

Scott’s Bait and Tackle in Mystic Island, a store that contributes fishing reports to this website, boasted that the Octopi really cleaned up on sea bass this season.

The Octopi sports a heavy-duty rubber skirt, difficult-to-chip paint and an ultra-sharp, black-nickel hook, S&S says.

Notice how the placement of where the line is tied on makes the hook hang at a unique, 45-degree angle.

That seems especially suitable for vertical jigging.

The jig comes with 3D eyes, and is available in sizes from 3/4 ounce to 6 ounces and different color patterns.

Lures the company makes also include the Rattletail, the Flutter Jig, the Slim Fish and a bunch more.

The Rattletail, the only rattling bucktail on the market, S&S says, is especially popular.

Bucktails, lead-headed lures with bucktail skirts, are sometimes
called jigs.

A jig is a jig is a jig, right?

Not at all, because they can vary a lot.

Here’s a unique one, the newest from S&S Bucktail.
