Sunglasses

Boating anglers use sunglasses just as much for eye-protection against winds and water spray as from sunlight.

Sunglasses do help, but winds and spray inevitably leak through the unprotected sides, top and bottom of the glasses.

Just one of the sacrifices anglers make?

Not anymore.

Climate Control sunglasses, made by WileyX, come with a patented Facial Cavity Seal that provides simple but effective protection from winds and waters.

The seal envelopes eyes in a “climatically controlled cocoon,” the company says.

Although the seal helps keep the elements from bothering the eyes, small air vents in the top of the frame direct air flow downward and out through vents in the bottom.

The flow of air helps keep the eyes comfortable and discourages lens fogging.

The seal can also be removed when not needed.

The sunglasses come with polarized lenses and include accessories such as a soft case, an elastic strap, a neck cord and a cleaning cloth.

The Climate Control Series includes a number of different models of sunglasses with different looks.

WileyX began 20 years ago as a manufacturer of specialized eyewear for the U.S. military and law enforcement, such as models that even withstood a shotgun blast, the company says. WileyX reportedly still produces standard-issue items for Special Forces, Army Rangers, Navy SEALs, the FBI and the DEA.
