HookUp Lures set out to create lures that would catch more fish and last fishing trip after fishing trip.

After guiding 32 years in the Florida Keys, Capt. Hank Brown, co-founder of the company along with his wife Joy Brown, believes they accomplished that goal.

HookUp Lures mostly manufactures bucktails, jigheads and weedless jigs. Each of these lures swims with its hook in the up position when fished, helping to prevent snags.

The versatility of bucktails, jigheads and weedless jigs makes these lures possible to use for catching almost any type of saltwater, small-game or freshwater species: from saltwater stripers, blues, weakfish and fluke to freshwater trout and largemouth bass, and everything between.

They’re made with Mustad hooks and coated with powdered paint, providing a beautiful, tough finish. The hook eyes are kept clear of paint, eliminating the need to gouge out the hole to tie on the line.

HookUp Lures also sells other products, such as rigs for trolling ballyhoos for offshore fishing and various live bait rigs.
