Jig-A-Loo

“Makes the World Run Smoother

Jig-A-Loo is billed as an all-around lubricant with hundreds of uses.

The silicone-based spray was made to lubricate; loosen; stop squeaks; un-stick nearly anything; protect against rust, corrosion or oxidation; repel water; prevent freezing; and more.

It can be used on reels, tackle and boats but also in the home, garage, garden, sports locker and office. It works on metal, most plastics, glass, wood, fabric, leather and other surfaces.

It won’t stain, because it contains no grease, oil or such, and it’s almost odor free or “doesn’t stink,” the company says.

The uses for anglers and boaters seem endless, from protecting reels and tackle from corrosion to un-sticking a sliding window on a boat.

Jig-A-Loo was launched in Canada’s industrial and commercial market in the 1950s. It was introduced to Canadian retail customers in the 1990s, and since then reportedly captured more than 50 percent of the country’s retail market.

Now it’s being marketed in U.S. stores as the all-around lubricant, including for loads of uses for anglers and boaters.
