Si-Tex
DSC-900
VHF Radio

U.S. Reels Super Caster
Si-Tex DSC-900

A good VHF radio can cost an arm and a leg.

Si-Tex, the marine electronics manufacturer, set out to offer a quality VHF radio at an affordable price.

The DSC-900, introduced this year, was built to offer all the bells and whistles for a suggested retail price of $159.

The “DSC” in the name comes from Digital Selective Calling, the Coast Guard service that allows boaters to instantly send a distress signal to the Coast Guard or other rescuers within range and equipped with DSC.

The Si-Tex radio sends the distress with a push of a button.

Digital Selective Calling also allows the radio to be used to make or receive radiotelephone calls to or from other DSC-equipped radios, like direct dialing.

The DSC-900 transmits at 25 watts, receives all channels and includes the capability to connect a GPS unit to send your GPS position to the Coast Guard during a distress signal, a large LCD display for easy viewing, an adjustable mounting bracket, scanning, memory and more.
