O'Fishally went out Saturday and trolled up 5 Bass btwn the 20 and 18 buoy on the Jersey side of the reach channel. We used umbrella rigs with black, red, and black green tubes. Biggest fish was 16.8 lbs caught by Lee, Ronnie had a nice 29 incher, and I caught the throw back! There were no signs of fish for the 1st 3 hrs in which we chummed and chunked (sounds like a personal problem)-there was a striper tourney going on I think in Leonardo in which there were not many fish being caught. About 1:45 pm on the outgoing, we started hooking up 1 bass after the next. After 5 bass, and 1 blue, I got on the radio and spread the word and they made the break for home. It turned out to be a good fishing day. |
