Went out at 4AM this morning with my son Vinnie. We started out at So. Amboy and finnished out at the Sandy Hook Reach. Of the 30 plus fluke we caught only one keeper at 20". We had at least 15 fish that were between 17 and 173/4 ". the rest were under 17'. Its a shame that all the states south of us have salt water licenses and as a result they have in some cases no closed season and 14' size limits. We need to wake up in NJ and fund the proper research that would give us better control of or seasons, bag limits and sizes. Right now we in NJ are at the mersey of the FEDS. |
