Went out for the 1st time with my 2 yr old son, I pretty much watched him so my wife and my buddy Ronnie can get some fluking in. We hit the 1 and 3 cans in Keyport and came up empty. Went over to the reach and started pulling up sea robins, but we stuck it out. My son slept for an hour in which i landed 4 fluke-1 at 19 inches and 4 robins, my wife had 3 robins, and Ronnie had 1 fluke at 18 inches and a few robins. Along with the report below from Ed Sr, I'd like to add, that if you plan on fishing with children and monitoring on channel 68, forget it. Change the channel. The language is out of control. I go out to fish and enjoy myself, not to listen to these idiots. Also, the 6 hour class and $60 along with that hasn't seemed to narrow down the amount of inexperienced personal watercraft capts out there who like to plow though and area of 50 boats fishing a drift. A lot needs to be cleaned up with the state in terms of fishing. I'll support any one or thing out there. Give me my saltwater license if need be. |
