I have a bit of a bone to pick with a party boat that i have fished from several times over the past five years.last monday 7/12 , I decided to head out on a fluke trip from pt. pleasant , many patrons going also , problem being the ocean conditions were absolutely unfishable and the capt. and crew were aware of this having just returned from the AM trip , 20 oz sinkers would not hold bottom and we spent our fishing time with our lines wrapped around the bottom of the boat.out of a 4 1/2 hour trip we had lines in the water less than an hour total and the entire trip was spent riding around the ocean and not fishing. just before the end of this disaster one of the mates admitted the AM trip had only three fish caught , and the afternoon trip had only one fish on the whole boat for about 80 people.when conditions are this severe and its known ahead of time that it will be a waste of time and money , it should be required to tell peple before boarding the boat , instead of collecting $40.00 per head plus other fees 'pool ,rentals etc.'for what amounts to a boat ride , this comlaint is brought about because i have been on this boat nine times in the past three years , and every time , everyone on the boat goes home with an empty cooler. |
