Email: Hi Flier, Barnegat Inshore
The striper fishing is red hot. Weve been casting light tackle, connecting with 10- to 15-pound fish on average. Lots of birds, surfacing fish and hook-ups. Weve been doing very well on Fin-S and BKD soft plastics on jigheads. The best action Ive found is in 40 to 50 feet of water from Barnegat Inlet to Seaside Park. Mostly stripers with a few big bluefish mixed in. Well be running open-boat trips today and Saturday from 6 a.m. to noon, three person maximum. All fish are shared. Everything provided. Of course, were also available for charter on these days, as well. If you have any questions or would like to reserve a spot, please call instead of e-mailing, as I spend most of my time on the water: 732-330-5674. Capt. Dave DeGennaro, www.HiFlier.com
