14-Hour Wreck Trip, Saturday

Good trip, not spectacular with the cod, but interesting. A show of cod around the boat. Plenty of ling on one drop, and as* kicking jumbo porgy fishing on another. Pool winner was Trevor Daniels, Mount Holly, NJ, with a 25 1/2 lb cod. Hi-hook with cod was Adam Nowak, Passaic, NJ, with 8 cod up to 14 lbs. Chris Molinari, No Haledon, NJ, had 4 cod, a bucket of ling and God knows how many porgies. All-in-all a fun day. Everybody went home with some meat. Next 14-Hour Trip: Saturday, Jan 14th, 3 am.

Mudhole Trip, Thursday

Good linging again on the Mudhole trip today, with a few cod mixed in. Everybody had at least 30 or more fish. Perfect conditions in the morning. Pretty strong current as wind picked up in the afternoon. Top guns: Kevin Matysik, Perth Amboy, NJ, 81 ling, 1 cod; and Sammy Echevarrin, Roselle, NJ, 72 ling, 1 cod.
