11/13/2005 took Joe Saxon and Anton fishing at Island Beach State Park. Joe caught 2 large blues on mullet at Area 7. 1 had an enormous half rusted hook on a long wire leader embedded in its throat. Anton had 2 hits on clams. I caught 8 striped bass to 26" on a bomber and teaser. They were on a far out bar that nobody else could reach. Fishermen came over and started fishing on either side of me and caught nothing. I caught my 500th salt water fish of the year and tagged my 100th striped bass of the year. 1 day last week I caught and released 27" 7.5 lb and 23" 5 lb channel catfish on corn meal in the Delaware River. 5 lber had large silver treble hook embedded inside its lower jaw and large red bleeding sores. Saturday night I caught and released 6 walleyes to 18" on 1/16 oz jigs with 2 lb test ultralight tackle. I killed 2 mosquitos Saturday. Sunday a lot of ducks flew south. Sunday's bass had white wormlike parasites on them.
