11/20/2005 took Joe Saxon fishing at Island Beach State Park. He fished Area 7 with mullet and clams and didn't get a hit and didn't see anybody catch anything. After I caught my first fish of the day, four other fishermen came over and started fishing on either side of me. I had 9 hookups, and caught, tagged and released 5 striped bass to 25" with a bomber and everybody else caught nothing. Fish were in the white water on a far out bar. When I hooked 1 bass, it broke water and some minnows jumped. Caught nothing on a bucktail teaser and no hits at night. Looks like the bass are in the white water on the bars during the day.
