Went down to South Amboy beach Saturday night around 7:30, winds at about 5 mph, 55 degrees-perfect surf conditions. There were a bunch of us fishing that night. High tide was 5:52 pm. The fish started hitting about 7pm. Most of us came up short, but the few fish that were caught were between 15" and 25". My buddy Ronnie hooked a 23.5" bass. I was still getting taps and small run offs at 10pm, but it was pretty much over.
