Yesterday fished a pond near my house. Caught a green sunfish on my first cast then another 1 and a crappie. Only caught 3 fish in about an hour and a half. Went to the Delaware River at night and found 3 van loads of illegal aliens in my spot. Fished a new spot for less than an hour and caught a 17" walleye right away. Then lost a really big fish. Landed an 18" smallmouth bass on my last cast with 1/16 oz jig on 2 lb test. It jumped a lot and put up a long battle in the swift water. Caught fish on my first and last casts yesterday. Caught fish in NJ each of the past 37 consecutive months. It was really windy yesterday with big white caps on the river. |
